Topping the group stage with the highest points, Morocco has maintained their win through it all and for the first time in history,
they emerge as the first African country to qualify for the semi-finals of a World Cup.
The North African country maintained a clean sheet and remained undefeated in matches played against their opponents, Belgium, Canada and drew with Croatia in the group stage.
The points earned qualified them for the round of 16 against Spain, which they won 3-0 on penalties.
Youssef En-Nesyri goal in the 42nd minute gives Morroco their big win against Portugal ushering them into making history. The Moroccan national team goes a step further away from their counterparts, Cameroon, Senegal and Ghana, from the quarterfinal stage into the semifinal.
The Atlas Lion is proving to be the King of the Football Jungle. We will find out by December 19. They will, however, play France on Wednesday, December 14th, at 7 p.m., either to qualify for the final stage or to compete for third and fourth place.
