‘MOTHERHOOD, A Guide to Pregnancy’ draws on the personal experiences of the author vis a vis the many challenges women have to endure to celebrate the birth of a child.

The author addresses some of the challenges and what she described as desperations faced by women in their quest to conceive and have children, while proffering some very practical and reasonable solutions to these challenges.

The book highlights issues such as the causes of infertility, the age factors in infertility, the role of the man and the woman in the process of achieving conception, and some of the myths and superstitions regarding pregnancy and child birth.

As a prominent Advocate of the ‘In Vitro fertilisation’ (IVF) method of achieving conception, Oyindayo Akeeb in her book debunks the myths surrounding IVF, while encouraging women struggling to conceive to embrace IVF as one of the methods to achieving conception.

The book is indeed an invaluable material and a very useful guide to achieving motherhood.
